The soundtrack, released in February 2012, features 7 songs with lyrics written by Na. Muthukumar, Viveka, Ra. Meenakshi Sundaram, Yugabharathi - Kaali Venugopalan & Kausalya Krishnappa. The film opened to mixed reviews from the critics and audience alike. Rediff gave the film 3 out of 5 saying "The midpoint in this film is marked by a guest appearance by Yuvan Shankar Raja who is little tired of his daily routine but is nice to hear his voice. The song Laila Laila is a feel-good number and will be something to watch out for on screen". The Times of India gave the film 2.5 out of 5, describing that "Vetrimaaran has tried an experiment that has a lot of potential, but falls short of expectations because it gets a little too predictable. The film, however, deserves a pat on the back for its believable portrayal of all things Kollywood". Sify wrote "LLV has a few interesting twists and turns but they don't sustain the movie to its logical conclusion. Vetri Maaran's last film Mouna Guru was much better since it had better characterizations and twist in the tale. With the exception of a few scenes, this film reaches its climax in an anticlimactic way". Sify wrote "There are no Kollywood dance routines here" and praised the storyline, writing "The movie is not that original but it has given us enough to talk about. It has also got that certain something that made it enjoyable". The Times of India wrote "The one thing you can't say about Vetri Maaran is that he lacks imagination. However, this fact does not really help him much in trying to tell a novel story or create a memorable one. The way he handles the major twist in his story, in our opinion is the only thing he manages to do that is worth commending in this movie. The New Indian Express wrote "Vetrimaaran has done good work in constructing the narrative with exceptional detailing of characters and situations, but stops just right before it reaches its climax" and praised the film's storyline, writing "The climax song too does not help you get immersed into the tale; it is more like a short commercial break for effects". The Times of India gave 2.5 out of 5 saying "the story dries up halfway through with no real solution to it". cfa1e77820
